Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?

Hello Ladybug Families,

I hope you are all safe and well during this storm. I am sorry that our start to the new school year has been somewhat disrupted by the arrival of Florence. While you are still cooped up at home, I thought I would let you know what our week ahead in Ladybug Class looks like!

We have enjoyed reading the Brown Bear, Brown Bear book together in class. This book is fantastic for developing color recognition, sequencing, and rhyme. We will continue to explore Brown Bear in class this week, linking it to art, math and literacy learning. We will also continue to work on strengthening our school family connections. We will be using our 'wish well' board to send love to our absent friends. We will be looking at our helpers chart, and will each take responsibility for a job in our classroom. We will also be practicing using breathe to feel calm and happy!

Some reminders:

  • This week snack is kindly provided by Gabriel's family, (M/W/F), and Audrey's family,(T/Th).

  • We are excited to begin our first music class with Ms Rebecca this week, on Mondays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Chapel also begins with Ms Debbie on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9:30 am.

  • Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the Ladybug blog page.( password: CCP2018-19.) You will find photo albums for each class, a calendar with class events and snack reminders, and a play dough sign up button. Please help us by committing to make 1 batch of play dough during the school year. Thank you so much for your help!

Lets have a happy, (rain free!) week together!

We wish peace, love and happiness to all the children, all over the world.
