Happy Dan the Magic Man, Halloween & On To November!

We hope your child enjoyed our special show today with Happy Dan the Magic Man! He is an amazing entertainer and the true “magic” is in the way he brings smiles and laughter to young and old alike! After the show, it was fun watching the students imitate Magic Dan and his tricks on the playground!

This coming week we will continue to learn about fall changes and, of course, we will celebrate Halloween on Wednesday!  Your child should wear their costume to school that morning.   We will begin our "parade" around the Southern Village Market Square about 9:20.  Please feel free to join us if you would like. Everyone is welcome….siblings, grandparents, etc.  Your child will have an opportunity to change into play clothes after the "parade".  Also, be sure to "check out" the teacher decorated pumpkins in Ascension Hall. The students will be voting for their favorite later in the day.

The following week, we will spend a little time exploring our five senses and discovering how each one helps us to enjoy our life and keep us safe.  Finally, we will begin preparing for our Thanksgiving Celebration with the Yellow Ducks and all of our families on Tuesday, November 20th at 11:30 in Ascension Hall.  More information will follow, but please be sure to mark your calendars now!

Thank you's and reminders:

  • Thank you to Jocelyn’s family for providing snack this past week and to Levi L’s family for bringing snack next week.

  • Please check your child’s “change of clothing baggie” in their cubbie to make sure the clothes are appropriate for the cooler fall weather.

  • Speaking of cooler fall weather, please be sure to send your child to school with a coat or sweater. We go to the playground at 10:00 every day and the sun doesn’t always warm things up by then!

  • Thank you also, in advance, to Levi L’s family for providing play dough and library books for the month of November. :)

See you tomorrow and I hope you all have a nice weekend!
