First of all, we’d like to thank all the students and families that joined us for Preschool Sunday. The children did a beautiful job singing and it was a pleasure to honor the 20 year anniversary of our wonderful preschool director, Debbie Arena!
The Blue Whales have a LOT going on in the month of May, so please read this blog post carefully!
As you know, our field trip to the Maple View Agricultural Center is this Wednesday, May 1st. We will be meeting at Maple View at 9:15 and leaving there at 11:15 to return to CCP for lunch and playground time. Your child's blue whale t-shirt will be in their cubbie tomorrow. Please have them wear it to Maple View on Wednesday. Don't forget to pack a lunch for your child to eat after we return to CCP. Pickup time at the preschool will be at 1:00, as usual.
On Wednesday, May 8th, we will be joining the Yellow Ducks for our end of year picnic. The students will take their lunch boxes with them to Southern Community Park where we will eat outside, play on the playground and enjoy a watermelon treat! We would like your child to wear good walking shoes and their blue whale t-shirts that day. After the picnic, they can keep their t-shirt at home for good!
Wednesday, May 15th, is our annual Water Fun Day with our Yellow Duck friends! More details to follow, but your child will need to wear their bathing suit to school that day!
Finally, please mark your calendars for the Blue Whale's Graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 23rd at 9:30. Family and friends are welcome to join us! We will have about a 25 minute program in the Sanctuary, followed by a celebration in Ascension Hall. Ms. Missy and I will be in charge of the program in the Sanctuary, but the celebration in Ascension Hall is up to the parents! Please contact our room parent, Jennifer Crook to see how you can help.

A huge thank you to Braxton and his family for, again, responding to our classroom technology needs!
It's hard to believe that our school year is almost over! It always amazes me to see the growth in our students over the course of the year. Thank you for sharing your child with us. It's been a privilege.
