Dear CCP Families,
Happy almost St. Patrick’s Day! This holiday always bring fun, festive outfits, and silliness to preschool as the children talk about creative ways to “catch leprechauns” and all things green. It’s such a joy to be able to observe their conversations and interactions with each other.
CCPreschool ADVISORY COMMITTEE - meets on Zoom at 7:30pm this coming Monday, March 18. I’ll send a Zoom link on Friday.
CHRIST CHURCH EGG HUNT - Sunday, March 24 at 4:00pm on the Southern Village Green. If you plan to participate, please pre-stuff a few plastic eggs with candy or trinkets (no nuts or peanut butter) and bring them to the bin in the narthex this coming week. Thanks!
MARK YOUR APRIL CALENDAR - Sunday, April 21 is Preschool Sunday, where we celebrate the Christ Church Preschool ministry. Our preschool children will sing at the 9:00 service. Everyone is invited! More info to come…
CONSCIOUS DISCIPLINE MOMENT - Heads up! Here comes a tiny, but IMPORTANT distinction...... It is critical that you ask, "How do you feel?" instead of saying, "How would that make you feel." Self-regulation requires children to own their feelings. Attributing the cause of their feelings to outside situations or people by using "make you" language yields blame and derails the process. ~from Dr. Bailey's Feeling Buddies Curriculum, p. 7
