April is Just Around the Corner! ๐Ÿฆ‹

Dear CCP Families,

Can you believe that April begins next week? No fooling! ๐Ÿ˜‰ New month - fresh start! Think of all the possibilities of love, grace, and connections! Enjoy your spring break! March 30 - April 6. We will see you back on Tuesday, April 7th.

SUMMER CAMP - Please remember to register your Ladybug, Duck, or Whale for summer camp. There are just 3 spaces left. We would like to know who is coming by the end of March so we can order supplies.

A big THANK YOU to all who ate a burger at Alโ€™s last week! Every $5 burger eaten gave Christ Church Preschool $5. Total raised was $700! Since we depend on our fundraisers to supplement our budget, this last fundraising effort really helped us. Thank you to Carolyn Ziemer for all of the great ideas, running around town (literally), and love she has for CCP. Carolyn, you are amazing!

TUITION - Tuition is due on April 1. Since we are on Spring Break, we will extend the deadline until April 9th at 9:00am. Please make sure your payment is here by then, so Jen only has to make one trip to the bank

From Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline, p. 105 - โ€œAnxious or overwhelmed children respond better to assertive commands than to choices. Think about a time when you felt overwhelmed. The last thing you wanted to do was make a decision. At such times, clear commands are soothing.โ€ Even for adults, this is true. Soon after a close family member passed, there was a day when my husband said, โ€œWhere do you want to eat?โ€ I felt the tears welling up. I couldnโ€™t even make a simple choice of a restaurant. I said, โ€œPlease just choose a place for me. I canโ€™t make a choice right now.โ€ At that moment, it felt good to have my husband choose for me. I was grateful.

Enjoy your Spring Break! For Friday students, we will see you tomorrow and then we will see you back at school on Tuesday, April 7th.

Peace,

Shelly
