What a Year!

Dear Yellow Duck Families,

It was a privilege to spend this past year with your precious children. We have enjoyed each day watching them bloom and grow in the CCP garden. We know we have taught them many things, but know that they have taught us as well. We have learned to slow down and enjoy the simple moments such as following an ant, holding a ladybug, or patiently waiting for a butterfly to emerge from its chrysalis. I hope you spend your summer with your Duck noticing what they are observing and are able to put off loading the dishwasher, mowing the grass, or even cooking dinner (cereal is totally a dinner in my book). I feel like we spend the first year encouraging our little ones to crawl, walk, and then run. Then we spend the next 17 years trying to catch them. Before you know it, they will be driving and graduating. Don’t miss it!

THANK YOUS!

Thank you to our parent rep, Erica (Jackson’s mom) for helping us this year. She helped pull off some fun parties! Ms. Carina and I have been beyond blessed by your generous gifts! Thank you x 100. You all know how to make a teacher feel special! Last thank you shout out to all of your kind words to us this morning. They really are priceless. ❤️

The words I spoke this morning came from the heart and were so very true. Thank you for everything this year, it’s been an amazing one! If you need me, I’ll be in the safe place, crying. 😢

Here’s a little something special for you on this last day of school 😁:

May your summer be a long, slow one. Know that Ms. Carina and I wish you all well as you prepare to jump into the exciting waters of kindergarten!

Peace and love always,

Ms. Shelly & Ms. Carina
