Another year has come and gone in what seems like a blink of an eye. But….. as I reflect on this past year, I am reminded just how much we have all grown and changed. Our tadpoles from September have morphed now into frogs just hopping along stronger, more independent, and all-knowing little people. HaHaHa, at least that’s what they think.
Ok enough, I’m not going to cry.
Last week we had all our lasts, last Chapel time with Pastor Lee, last music with Ms. Viki and the last caterpillars/butterflies were set free. Along with very busy May and all the upcoming changes many of us will experience some emotional turmoil. Well guess what, so do the little ones, and because they don’t know what to do with all these big feelings a lot of different behaviors arise. No worries, this emotional roller coaster is to be expected, and Ms. Melissa and I have been preparing ourselves for its arrival.
Next week, being our last week, we will have our end of year celebrations on Wednesday at 11:00 and Thursday at 10:00. Weather permitting, we will be on the upper playground. If mother nature is being ugly than we will move into the classroom. Because of the limited space and many more bodies, it can get a bit crowded and overwhelming for the little ones. We will have snack, juice, popsicles, bubbles and of course lots of smiles and fun. We will provide snack on these days, so you do not need to send one with them. We will be sending you home with any clothes, diapers etc. that we have. We will also be sending you with a little something the children, Ms. Melissa and I have put together as a keepsake of our time here in the “Green Frog” class, so please be sure to check cubbies. Be sure to check out our bulletin board to get a glimpse of all the fun we’ve had this year.
In closing I want to thank you all for your kindness, support and most of all, for sharing your little ones with us this year. Each and every one of them is a blessing in our lives, all special in their own way. We have had a year full of physical, emotional and social growth that will help provide a good foundation as they move forward from here. Although I am looking forward to summer break I know about halfway through, I begin to miss everyone. Then I begin to look forward to catching a peek of everyone having fun in the ladybug room. Those of you moving on to other places and different adventures know that we will miss you and wish you all the best.
After popsicles, pictures and hugs we will dismiss with a little sadness but many happy memories in our hearts.
With love,
Ms. Linda and Ms. Melissa
