I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday filled with peace, wonder, joy and love and are ready to return to school days filled with calm, curiosity, delight and friendships. Of course the first few days back will be nothing of the sort. A few days of chaos and tears will quickly pass and we will fall back into a routine of somewhat organized chaos, new experiences and lots of smiles.
We also hope you enjoyed the holiday concert the children performed for you. They were superstars for just getting up on the stage because It was very scary. There were some fears and a few tears, including mine, but hopefully in the end they realized with a little courage and support we can all do hard things.
Ms.Melissa and I want to thank you for your thoughtful gifts and tasty treats. We are very blessed to be a part of such a generous CCP family.
Now we will return to many new things happening in the green frog classroom. Our Wednesday and Thursday class will start to attend “Chapel Time” with pastor Lee. We will also try to grow some even bigger gross motor skills down on the big playground. The sandbox there is always a big hit so don’t be surprised when your child comes home with lots of sand hidden in their shoes and pockets, ears and hair. We will also continue, although a little more advanced, working on our fine motor skills. We will emphasize the proper way to hold crayons and markers while using them. We will also pull out the scissors and begin cutting paper instead of play-do. I also believe Ms. Melissa and I will be spending more time assisting in the bathroom.
We look forward to returning and starting the next phase of learning as a green frog.
Thank you, Ms. Linda and Ms. Melissa
