On May 22nd the T/Th Ladybugs will have their Last Day Celebration and on May 23rd the MWF Ladybugs will have THEIR Last Day Celebration from 10:15-11:00 am (this early time will help us avoid the heat a bit). Please join us on the playground to celebrate together! Children will be dismissed from the playground at the conclusion of our party.

NOTES FROM OUR WEEK-

Our 5 little caterpillars grew into big, fat caterpillars very quickly. All but one (the troublemaker who keeps bumping into his friends & making them shake and wiggle! 🤣) have made their chrysalis. We are hoping they will emerge before the end of next week, so we can watch the butterflies spread their wings!!

We are having so much fun with our insect theme and will continue it into next week. This week we created gardens for bees to pollinate in our sensory table, painted ladybugs (you’ll see more about that later…don’t ask questions! It’s a surprise 🤫), had picnics with ants, rolled dice & counted dots to make caterpillars and practiced drawing lines to make Tall, Tall Grass in our journals.

Our MWF Ladybugs made amazing beehives on Friday. They followed 3 steps to create their pictures.

  • paint the bubblewrap & press their paper on top to make a print

  • draw a bee

  • cut out the bee & glue it into the beehive!

Many of them surprised themselves with how much they could do on their own. There were some BIG proud smiles!

We celebrated Wren N.’s 4th Birthday on Friday. Happy Birthday Wren!

Have a wonderful weekend with your not-so-little-anymore Ladybug!
