YELLOW DUCK NEWS:
We had an exciting week of space exploration. Our astronauts loved learning about the planets, galaxies, stars and rocketships. We cut out rocketships and used air power to launch them with a straw. Mission Control was very busy in the loft! And we made beautiful solar systems with stamps & paiint.
Our own planet, Earth, got a special day- Earth Day! We worked together to make a beautiful Earth for our hands to hold. We sang “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands”. During our discussions of ways to take care of our Earth, so many friends knew that we need trees & plants to make oxygen for us…such smarties! Everyone planted grass seed to grow a yard. Fingers crossed that these do a bit better than our beans from Jack & the Beanstalk week 🤞
Of course, the most exciting part of the week was the trip to Morehead Planetarium!! Thank you all for taking time to join us and make this trip possible. It was such a special day.

We even celebrated 2 more birthdays. The Yellow Ducks have had a very busy week!! Happy Birthday Aubrey & Ava! Welcome to the whole hand club 🖐️!
And last but not least, we had a special guest reader on Friday. Reese’s sister (a former CCP student as well) came to read us a fun story. Thank you so much, Rowan!
