That’s a lot of dates to remember this month but many other things are happening in the classroom daily. The tears are fewer and for shorter time and most have learned our classroom daily schedule. We have learned to use our “ring rope” and are enjoying singing and dancing to new songs in music and movement with Ms. Crysta-Anne. Many have figured out which animal chair is theirs and are working on saying their name when they see their animal on their placemats at snack time. We are still working, usually a year long endeavor, to stay seated on a green spot on the floor for a short circle time story. We have been experiencing crayons, markers and colored pencils. We have painted with glitter paint, dot paints and paint stix. We have also used our glue sticks and stickers to make some fabulous apple trees. For those of you not seeing many originals coming home take a minute to look at our ever changing bulletin board. We can usually convince everyone to make the class art project that helps decorate our room. We have also been building big muscles outside climbing and sliding, riding bikes, scooters and driving cars and trucks ( sometimes with heavy loads )

As the weeks continue to fly by we will stay focused on improving these skills. We will learn the difference between a pumpkin and a jack-o-lantern. We will also learn what a scarecrows job is and then have some Halloween fun, it’s hard but we will try to touch on all the special days between now and the new year. After Halloween we will start working on the song we will sing in our holiday concert. I will try to send the words to the song to you so you can help your child practice at home. Between our circle time songs and music I think we have a few budding stars in the green frog class.

We have celebrated a few birthdays already Ms. Melissa and I want to thank you all for the cards, flowers, treats and generosity you showed us on our birthdays, hardly a week apart.

Please remember to look at the pictures Ms. Melissa posts daily and you will probably see all the things we do that your child may not tell you about.

Thank you, Ms. Linda and Ms. Melissa
