Just a short post this week to let you all know we had our first “shape rope “ walk to and from our first music and movement class. Our shape rope is a bunch of connected green rings that we all hold anytime we leave the classroom. We tell the children this is how we keep each other safe while learning to walk in a line. There were a few frogs that kept wanting to just let go of the rope and run freely through the hall. It won’t take long and all will learn that holding on gets us to other places in the school to do things we don’t get to do in our classroom.
We talked about fall this past week. I’m sure some of you noticed, by the looks of clothing, we also did some painting. Most had no qualms about getting messy while a few were not at all into it.
A few reminders,
CCP will be closed on Thursday Oct. 1 and Friday Oct. 2
Frogs do not participate in the upcoming conferences on Tuesday Oct.13 and Wednesday Oct. 14. If anyone would like to meet let us know and we will be happy to set a time to talk.
Tuesday Oct.20 and Wednesday Oct.21 are picture days. The photographer usually sets up at the front entrance to the church. If you come a few minutes early and have your child’s photo taken before coming in, sometimes you might have better luck getting a smile.
Wednesday Oct.28 and Thursday Oct.29 will be our Halloween costume parade. Your child may wear their costume to school and we will parade through ascension hall and the other classrooms.
