Our Big Feelings…

It has been an emotional two weeks all around the green frog classroom. Separation anxiety, a few tears, a lot of patience will soon turn the corner and eagerness, smiles, still a lot of patience will make the green frog class a happy fun place to be for all. Between all the emotion and tears, we’ve been giving and receiving lots of hugs, learning to share a lap and help console a new friend. We are learning that someone from our home family always comes back after we have a fun morning. In short we are becoming a GREEN FROG FAMILY. I’m sure many of you take a peek at the pictures Ms. Melissa posts and you see what happens in class when you leave. You see that the tears don’t last but a few minutes but don’t be sad because I assure you your child is eagerly awaiting your return to share with you all the fun they had with their new friends.

We are quickly learning the classroom routine, exploring our classroom and playground. We have done short circle times learning our greeting song and reading a story. We are learning our animal chairs when we sit to have snacks and fun conversations. Most importantly we are learning to be a friend, which will continue to be our focus throughout this year. By now everyone should have received a friend picture book to look at and help them learn all their new friends names. As we continue to learn to cope with strong feelings and emotions we will begin to learn all about each other and the changing of a season.

As the weeks continue please look for more posts from me and be sure to look at the pictures Ms. Melissa posts. The blog and pictures together should give you a good idea of what’s happening and yet to come in our classroom. We are looking forward to a wonderful year with all our ew green frogs.
