These past few weeks we have enjoyed exploring the many sights and sounds that let us know how quickly we are approaching the holiday season.

We have taken many walks to observe the changing and dropping of the leaves as we crunch and rake them around the grounds. We’ve read stories about where apples come from, the many colors they come in, and the many ways to prepare them. We’ve made jack-o-lanterns and had creepy crawling spiders and spooky ghosts join the classroom. We finished the month by showing off our costumes in a parade through the school. The next few weeks are going to fly by as we prepare for the next holiday season.

On Monday 11/3 the fire department will visit and give us a brief presentation on the wardrobe and job of the firemen/women and then get a tour of the firetruck. Tuesday/Thursday class is welcome to join us at ~9:30. Our spirit days are 11/5 and 11/6 so please wear your school t-shirt or class color. We will be closed on 11/11 to observe Veterans Day.

We have all enjoyed singing spider, ghost and pumpkin songs the past few weeks and now we will move on to the songs we will be singing in the annual CCP Holiday Concert. I will be sending home the words to the songs so you can practice at home with your child.

Reminders
