Quote of the Week

There were just too many amazing quotes this week about Mom and Dad.  I hope you enjoy reading your cards as much as I enjoyed interviewing your children.

We read fiction and nonfiction books about insects and sparked some informative discussions.  We also read a book about a mother and talked about Mother’s Day and how important our moms are to us.

We had Guess & Tell and Ava did a great job with three clues about her item and calling on friends to guess the item.  The Blue Whales were able to guess Ava’s item because of her great clues.

The Blue Whales worked very hard this week on creating gifts and a card for their moms and dads for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.  Each Blue Whale also arranged a beautiful vase of flowers and painted their vase.  They made very thoughtful decisions when they created their gifts, cards, flower arrangements and answered the questions about Mommy and Daddy.  I hope everyone enjoys their flowers, cards and gifts.  The Blue Whales were so excited and proud to give their creations to you.

Our four Circle Time Leaders this week did a wonderful job.

On Thursday, May 21st we will have our End of Year Celebration on the last day of school.  Our celebration will be from 9:15 am until 10:15 am and we will say goodbye to all our Blue Whale Friends at the end of the celebration and they will go home with their families.  Please drop off your child in the classroom that morning as normal and Ms. Beth and I will bring the children to Ascension Hall at 9:15 am.  Our party will continue outside on the playground after a short performance.  We must be off the playground, and everything cleaned up by 10:15 am so the next class can have their celebration.  Annie, our Room Parent, will be reaching out for volunteers for set up, clean up and donations of food, drink and decorations.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

We are enjoying creating, moving, singing, discussing, observing, reading and playing with our Blue Whale friends.  Hope everyone has a very Happy Mother’s Day and a nice weekend.
